Kids.

Just wanted to note how often I find myself profoundly struck and inspired by the thoughts expressed by my kids.  Such pure honesty and wonder.  Somebody's gotta figure out how to keep us from losing that.

Sorry, been dealing with a crisis with my own daughter. Had to tell her to grow up. But yeah, when they're young and honest like that, it's a wonder to behold. Hope the weather's good for your weekend out. What fun!

What are you sorry about?

Weather looks great for the weekend. Mid 80's. The campground is on the CT shore but not right on the beach. Our friends like a bit more shelter and woods than the beach sites so we tried to accomodate them this time.

It took so long to answer. Anyhow, I kinda like some space between campsites; and wimpy ol' me is allergic to sand fleas, so beaches aren't as fun as they used to be. Love the sound of water, though!

Ahhhhh....blogging from the bucolic Connecticut woods!

It doesn't get any better than this! From the bright lights and glitz of The Strip to steak cooked over an open fire and smores. What a life.

The drinks are flowin' and nobody's gotta drive home.

Summer!

Good for you! I have a couple more days and I'll be sitting in a hot tub on the deck of my cabin in the woods. Can't wait! BTW, we're bringing t-bones and king crab legs. Yummy! No open fires, though, we have burn bans in dry August. We'll have a grill, though, so no problem.
